Today, I am recruiting for one of my great clients located on the North Shore of Montreal, a level 2 IT technician with minimum 4-5 years of experience.

The position is permanent, 100% on-site and the person sought must be transported and have a valid driving license

Your missions

• Configure and install various IT equipment (computers, laptops, tablets, printers, etc.)
• Set up all the IT tools necessary for new users;
• Perform preventive maintenance on computer equipment
• Ensure that all IT equipment complies with cybersecurity standards
• Install and deploy new software
• Provide support and technical advice to users related to the tools/software used
• Participate in the creation, testing and deployment of technical projects and/or new software solutions
• Install various networking equipment including switches, cabling and others
• Configure IP phones and extensions as needed
• Move computer workstations during moves or rearrangements
• Take inventory of equipment and keep it up to date during their lifespan
• Monitor the network and equipment linked to critical operations in order to detect potential problems
• All other related tasks

Your profile

• Diploma in computer science or equivalent;
• 4-5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Good knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/16/19, VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DHCP, DNS (Windows Administrative Tools);
• Good knowledge of the Office 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)
• Active Directory account management in a hybrid context (cloud and local)
• Experience in installing cables and network equipment
• Experience with printer maintenance and configuration
• Knowledge of EDR, XDR, MDR solutions (Asset)
• Remote access and inventory software such as Labtech or ConnectWise;
• Knowledge of backup software such as Veeam or equivalent;
• Knowledge of VPN, remote connection and general networking concepts
• Knowledge of IP telephony concepts, Mitel Voice Business experience (Asset)
• Holder of a valid driving license to travel between
the different locations;
• Comfortable lifting loads of more than 25 lbs (computer equipment)
• Rigor, patience, proactivity, collaboration and listening to users
• French and English bilingualism
