I'm Clémence, recruitment and business development consultant at FED IT, a recruitment agency specializing in IT professions.

All our consultants are IT experts who speak your language and work in your environment. We cover IT, development, business intelligence and infrastructure.

I'm looking for a System, Network and Security Administrator for one of our customers in the West End of Montreal. This is a permanent position, 100% on site.

Your missions

I'm looking for someone whose role will be to provide technical assistance to users and maintain a secure IT environment, ensuring the functionality of IT infrastructures (servers, networks, access, internet, etc.). In addition, you will control access to these infrastructures, and ensure that data is backed up according to established procedures on a daily basis.

More specifically, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Manage our infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage and virtualization & desktop solutions etc;
- Design, write and maintain technical documentation for our infrastructures;
- Monitor network and software vulnerabilities and intrusion risks using continuous scanning software, and analyze incoming and outgoing internet traffic logs;
- Ensure that security policies are deployed and maintained throughout the infrastructure;
- Provide user support and information on IT tools;
- Ensure the operation of IT tools (cell phones, printers, laptops, etc.), take care of their maintenance, install, train and update software;
- Purchase equipment as needed (workstations, laptops, servers, cell phones, etc.);
- Keep abreast of any new technology that may be of benefit to the company;
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by immediate superior.

Your profile

- DEC in computer science or related field;
- A minimum of 5 years experience in IT;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, O365 Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, Active Directory, IIS and other Microsoft services;
- Knowledge of MSSQL and MySQL databases and networks (firewalls, VLAN, QoS, Wi-Fi, VPN, etc.);
- Knowledge of VOIP phone systems, Hyper-V, Watchguard, HPE Switch, VOIP telephony and any equipment that can be linked to networks (printer, router, scanner, etc.);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (an asset);
- Interest in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of equipment and software;
