Your missions
I'm looking for a Data Center Manager for one of our customers in the Montérégie region. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode (ratio of one day a week on site, travel to be planned). Salary varies according to experience ($90,000 to $110,000).
Your missions will be :
- Guarantee the technical and operational integrity of data centers, encompassing the entire IT infrastructure supporting hosted services.
- Ensure the proper functioning of electromechanical systems, from power supply to cooling, as well as the physical security of data centers, including access control and fire protection.
- Effectively manage incidents, service requests and problems in accordance with best practices (ITIL) and established customer service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate outage support and lead activities within the CDD team, including planning, organizing work and coordinating tasks.
- Oversee the efficient and punctual completion of various projects, as well as the efficient and correct execution of maintenance work and recurring activities, such as backups.
- Measure, monitor and present data center performance using specific indicators. - Manage, control and maintain equipment inventory to ensure adequate supply to meet delivery targets (SLAs).
- Develop a strategic vision aligned with business needs, based on data center norms, best practices and standards.
- Continuously monitor the latest advances in information technology and assess their relevance to the organization.
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with suppliers while effectively negotiating associated proposals.
- Audit the updating of user procedure documentation, technical documentation and processes for which you are responsible.
Your profile
- Minimum seven years' experience in data center management
- Strong team management skills and experience
- Mastery of data center infrastructures and environments
- Excellent command of written and spoken French
- Good command of spoken and written English, to be able to communicate with certain non-French-speaking customers and suppliers
- SME experience (asset)
- Knowledge of ITIL practices (asset)
- Recognized for leadership
- Naturally focused on results and customer satisfaction
- Stress tolerance
- Excellent adaptability
