About this job : POS Analyst

Fed IT, a recruitment firm specializing in recruitment for IT professions,
We operate on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent.

We cover open positions in IT, development, decision-making, and
infrastructure. We are currently looking for a POS specialist in hybrid mode
for one of our clients located in the east of the island.

Your missions

• Gather, document and understand business requirements;
• Write development requests to suppliers;
• Establish project plans and development of new features;
• Draft test plans and cases for quality assurance and user testing;
• Ensure the relationship with suppliers for new development requests and
defects in software or hardware as well as ensuring follow-up;
• Provide support to the call center for undocumented issues related to points
• Document, develop, test and fix problems, defects and improvements;
• Implement new hardware and software at store level;
• Participate in testing and validation activities to support releases and improvements
• Level 3 support for the POS Helpdesk;
• Update and provide documentation for the call center knowledge base;
• Participate in the development of norms, standards, and procedures of the department;
• Provide quality products and services respecting the standards and procedures in place;
• Be available on call (as needed)

Your profile

• Diploma in computer science or equivalent training;
• 2-3 years of experience in a functional analyst position;
• 2-3 years of experience in the retail industry;
• Experience in problem analysis, identifying and documenting root causes;
• Experience in analyzing log files and data for troubleshooting and development purposes;
• Experience in analysis and development of systems within the Retail Point of Sales application;
• Experience with POS hardware including PCs, display keyboards, printers, scanners, monitors, etc.
• Experience with point of sale software (SAP-POS)
• Good understanding of Windows;
• Good knowledge of point-of-sale systems and operating systems;
• Ability to manage several files simultaneously;
• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Orientation towards customer service;
• Bilingualism (French and English)
