Your missions
We are currently looking for a systems administrator for one of our customers. This is a permanent, on-site position. The salary offered varies according to experience and will have to respect the organization's internal equity ($74,000 to $92,000).
Your duties will include :
• Evaluate and analyze business requirements, technology environment and technology choices to determine alternative solutions to meet business needs.
• Lead the design and execution of complete technical solutions, taking into account enterprise architecture strategies and the current technological environment and constraints.
• With the Network and Security Administrator, set up, configure and support corporate Web servers.
• Contribute to the design, configuration and deployment of corporate wireless networks, such as access points, servers, routers, hubs, switches and other hardware components.
• Provide feedback, advice and guidance in the development of system architecture at the project level.
• Together with the Network and Security Administrator, ensure that server hardware and physical data storage have sufficient capacity and appropriate configuration in accordance with database system requirements.
• Ensure preventive maintenance tasks, including testing and installation of interim change packages, updates and emergency patches.
• Design and implement redundant systems
• Oversee the configuration, operation and documentation of server data backups, recovery procedures, data replication planning and policies
Your profile
• Relevant college or university degree in information technology or computer science preferred, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in information systems and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in systems administration
• Microsoft (or similar) certification held or in progress.
• ITIL certification an asset
• Intermediate knowledge of configuring and managing backup and recovery procedures for VMWare, Microsoft SharePoint and SQL
• Working knowledge of network and communications hardware, operating systems, protocols and standards
• Knowledge of managing high-availability technology infrastructure environments
