We are currently looking for a system Administrator for one of our clients located in Montreal.

Your missions

Data center
• Maintain the highest service availability rate
• Ensure that the infrastructures are well monitored and maintain consistency with other hosted systems
• Diagnose and deal with possible data center infrastructure incidents and ensure that they do not happen again
• Participate in the study and analysis of the company's needs in terms of hosted infrastructures
• Administer physical and virtual machines, networking and storage in the data center
• Guarantee the management of change requests in production and ensure that the registers of breakdowns, interventions and incidents are kept up to date
• Ensure the continuity of data center data backups and implement corrective actions if necessary
• Ensure the integrity, confidentiality and security of data
Customer base
• Offer a level 2 and 3 IT support service for customers in connection with our hosting activities
• Participate in the analysis and design of innovative technological solutions presented to our customers
• Apply IT procedures/standards and document associated solutions
• Ensure the maintenance and administration of our customers' systems and application solutions
• Diagnose and deal with operational incidents and ensure that incidents do not recur
• Support the manager in carrying out the mandates of his department in order to achieve the business objectives set
• Anticipate relevant innovations in the IT field and address them to the Innovation Committee
• Write technical documentation and ensure that it is communicated, assimilated and mastered by the stakeholders involved
• Develop and disseminate operating procedures while documenting existing secure hosting facilities
• Participate in the rotation of the data center outage support team outside of office hours

Your profile

AEC, DEC or Bachelor's degree in information technology / networking or in a discipline deemed relevant (and/or relevant experience)
• Cumulate a minimum of 3 years of experience in the same type of position
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2012-2019), Active directory, Microsoft Exchange, SQL operating systems
• Excellent knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol
• Excellent knowledge of networks (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of virtualization with VMWare tools
• Very good knowledge of the infrastructure (SAN)
• good knowledge of Linux/Unix (asset)
• Knowledge of telecommunications
• Technical experience in connection with IP telephony (asset)
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Recognized certification (ex. VCP, A+, MCNA, MCP, CCNA) an asset
